Our commitment

The Sayginer Foundation for Archaeology aims for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Accessibility is considered whenever content or design is changed.

How the site is built

Pages use a clear heading structure and landmarks so screen readers can move through them. Every link, menu and form control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and the focused element is always visibly outlined. Images that carry meaning have text alternatives, and text keeps sufficient contrast against its background. Text can be enlarged with browser zoom without losing content, and layouts adapt to small screens. Nothing on the site flashes, and no audio plays automatically.

Motion

The homepage plays a silent, looping background video. If your device is set to reduce motion, the video is replaced by a still image, and page animations are switched off.

Known limitations

The homepage video is decorative and has no audio, so it carries no captions or transcript. Partner logos on the scholarships page link to external websites whose accessibility the Foundation does not control.
