Beginning in 2022, the Foundation will also present a small number of awards to archaeologists, educators and others whose work has had a positive impact on the field of archaeology.
EGE UNIVERSITY KAMIL SAYGINER’81 MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
This scholarship is the flagship program of the Foundation and is given to top performing archeology students who are current students or recent graduates of Ege University Archaeology Department. Applications will open in March 2022.
MILETUS EXCAVATION FUND
This grant is awarded for Turkish or international archaeologists currently working on excavations, museum curation or on a particular research project at Aydin, Turkey or surrounding areas. The fund will cover living costs and housing expenses for the awardees for the duration of a year. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE SPONSORSHIP FUND
This program supports Turkish archaeologists who wish to attend an international seminar either in Turkey or Europe by covering the travel expenses and by sponsoring their research to be showcased if they are otherwise unable due to financial barriers. Interested persons or organizations can apply by sending conference details, dates and their C.V. to team@sayginerfoundation.org.
THE TOOL BOX FUND
This program supports museums or individual researchers with demonstrated financial need by purchasing necessary tools and items which they can use during field projects. Interested parties can send their proposed activity plan and TOOL BOX requests at team@sayginerfoundation.org.
UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD ARCHAEOLOGY COURSES
